Disney home of sluts in the making

When wanting safe sex gets you branded a ‘slut’ you know we live in a culture full of people who hate women..

the bold

Not to mention this is a tv show, and her character’s actions have nothing to do with her real personal life. Like regardless of any beliefs, morals, or politics, Brenda’s character is not her.

There’s a second interesting tidbit in all that “lesbians are more likely to be fat” business. As it turns out, queer girls (lesbians AND bisexuals) are ALSO more likely to NOT THINK they’re fat, even when their BMI puts them in one of the “overweight” categories. On the flip side, straight girls are more likely to think of themselves as fat even when they’re not. That’s right, “overweight” queer ladies tend to be less critical of their bodies than straight women. Researchers want to call this a problem of self-perception, but I have a different theory. It could be, perhaps, that queer girl culture doesn’t suffer the incessant, unreasonable pressure of the male gaze in the same way that straight girl culture does. After all, if you don’t have to concern yourself with attracting men as romantic partners, it’s considerable more reasonable to not give a fuck about their photoshopped-magazine-and-mainstream-pornography-fueled beauty standards, and you might be less likely to internalize that garbage.

TO EVERYONE WHO SAYS DISNEY SEQUELS ARE SHIT, GO WATCH CINDERELLA 2

OKAY LET ME EXPLAIN YA’LL FUCKERS A THING. THIS MOVIE IS GREAT. CINDERELLA HELPS OUT ANASTASIA, WHO WAS A COMPLETE BITCH TO HER FOR MOST OF HER LIFE (AND SHE KNOWS IT), WHEN SHE COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN LIKE AHAHA FUCK YOU N00B AND WALTZED OFF WITH HER BAM SLAMMIN’ BOOTY JAMMIN’ PRINCE.

BUT NO.

SHE HELPS ANASTASIA DEFY HER BITCHY CRABAPPLE OF A MOTHER AND GET TOGETHER WITH THIS UNBEARABLY SWEET BAKER DUDE BECAUSE SHE IS SUPER NICE AND FORGIVING. ANASTASIA SHOWS HUGE CHARACTER GROWTH, WHILE STILL RETAINING HER PERSONALITY. IN THE END CINDERELLA DANCES BY WITH THE PRINCE AND THEY SMILE AT EACH OTHER BECAUSE SHE AIN’T EVEN JELLY BECAUSE SHE GOT THE ADORABLE BREAD GUY AND TRUE FUCKIN’ LOVE WHICH IS REALLY ALL SHE EVER WANTED.

Why have i never even heard of this

I HAD THIS ON VHS AND FUCKING LOVED IT
